As we remember the events of September 11 2001, we shall never forget all who lost their lives; the immediate victims, the first responders, the ensuing victims, and the emotional toll on the survivors and the families of the victims.
We must also not forget the brave men and women of the armed services many of whom over the last 11 years have been in battle overseas as a result of the attack on this day 11 years ago. They have given their lives, have been severely injured and suffered emotionally even as they have served with honor..
At this time let us remember the humanity that the world shares, no matter our race, our religion or our nationality; we are all human beings with hopes and dreams. We should strive always to keep this fact front and center in our thinking. Even as we disagree on some things, we should learn to respect and revere our shared humanity.
