“Truth Be Told” a Caribbean themed play comes to Howard University

Following a successful run Off Broadway, “Truth Be Told” a Caribbean themed play comes to Howard University’s Cramton Auditorium, September 14th

          Internationally acclaimed writer, director and producer Jerold Jackson-Huggins created  A masterpiece.  Universal taboos like rape, incest, greed the selling of babies and prostitution are tastefully explored and delivered by a stellar cast that includes Lafayette Johnson in the role of Sandra, the villainess, J. P. Schwmon, an out of work attorney,  her husband, Sylvia Gould, Sandra’s mother who is widowed but had to deal with incest when her husband was alive and Stanley Johnson the male prostitute who peddles his ware to whoever will pay for his service.  He holds secrets that are the centerpiece of  the play, touching each character’s life in often unsavory ways.

             It’s the play “Truth Be Told”, coming to Howard University’s Cramton Auditorium 7 p.m. Saturday September 14th .  Under the auspices of the Caribbean Students Association in partnership with JEMS Theater.
